The story behind the stone

First brought to us by Michelangelo, Calacatta Gold Borghini Extra is one of the most sought-after and famous pieces of marble in the world, making it a timeless work of art in itself and of precious rarity. Its distinctive look of a smooth white field, paired with warming veins of gold and coffee add class and sophistication to any application.

Borghini is the creme de la creme of marbles. It is the most exclusive, sought after type of marble in the world. One of the reasons it is so rare and highly sought after is because it is mined very infrequently. Anywhere from 1-2 blocks per week – roughly 50-60 slabs per block on average – whereas other larger quarries mine a lot more. For comparison sake, Bianco Carrara marble quarries mine 100 plus blocks of Carrara a week (all combined). Therefore, Borghini marble is a lot less common, making it very unique.

Aria Stone Gallery travels around the globe to hand select natural stone directly from the most prestigious quarries. We make selections based on the uniqueness of each slab and only purchase stone with deep-rooted history. Simply put, we focus on quality, rather than quantity. We only carry slabs that are a 9 or a 10 in quality and will not stock natural stone that does not live up to our high standards simply because of demand. Our goal is to share this strong passion for stone, and to help customers discover the uniqueness and beauty of every natural wonder in our gallery.

Transparency is at the heart of Aria. With the same pricing online as in the galleries, you will always know what you pay for materials versus labor. Every lot of material is professionally photographed for accurate color representation, ensuring what you see is what you receive.
