Marco Guazzini is one of the worlds most respected home decor designers. In his latest collection, that he exhibited at Maison & Objet Paris, he debuted a creation that was so interesting. Marco was inspired to create a material that would showcase the natural materials from his home town in Italy. From what we understand, after the war his home town became the hub for recycling wool fiber, they would in turn make it into a new material. This village is surrounded by the green mountains. These were the mountains that provided Michaelanglo the material he used to create David. So he set out to create a new material combining these to things. In a process that I still don’t quite understand, he combined brightly colored wool with marble and then sculpted these one of a kind decor art pieces. It is just a wonder to watch this happen.
