TAJ MAHAL QUARTZITE

Named after one of the most important monuments and world heritage of India although Taj Mahal quartzite originates from Brazil. A rare feat, Aria’s Taj Mahal has little to no rust content compared to competitors. This classic, warm bundle features varying swirls of diagonal veining atop a taupe backdrop, and topped with a soft honed finish. The slightly darker shade of taupe for the veining gives that subtle contrast, allowing this stone to have versatility in a minimalist or maximalist design. The neutrality of this stone adds to its versatility when it comes to light or dark interiors.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

THE STONE

First brought to us by Michelangelo, Calacatta Gold Borghini Extra is one of the most sought-after and famous pieces of marble in the world, making it a timeless work of art in itself and of precious rarity. Its distinctive look of a smooth white field, paired with warming veins of gold and coffee add class and sophistication to any application.

Borghini is the creme de la creme of marbles. It is the most exclusive, sought after type of marble in the world. One of the reasons it is so rare and highly sought after is because it is mined very infrequently. Anywhere from 1-2 blocks per week – roughly 50-60 slabs per block on average – whereas other larger quarries mine a lot more. For comparison sake, Bianco Carrara marble quarries mine 100 plus blocks of Carrara a week (all combined). Therefore, Borghini marble is a lot less common, making it very unique.
