Pantone’s Color of the Year: Marsala

Pantone has just announced the color of the year, Marsala. A rich red wine color with under tones of browns, tans and blush. Executive Director of Pantone, Lee Eiseman, said that Marsala has an inherent sophistication and robustness to it, that both men and women can incorporate into their homes, wardrobes and lives.

Lee Eiseman also included that she can see this color used with rich brown tone as well as being incorporated in with blush tones, for a new contemporary color palette. Marsala is a luscious color that is easily worked in and around every fasciate of life for the next year. It will definitely be easier than radiant orchid was last year.

When it comes to stone, Marsala would go with a number of color palettes. The first that comes to mind is our new Quasar granite. With swirling chocolates and creams, Quasar is dotted with Marsala through out. It is a densely patterned stone that will blend with Marsala decor.
